Record-breaking sales figures from October 2024 continue to reveal Canadian driving preferences....
The all-new 2020 Toyota Corolla line-up is the most complete ever, and dare we say it, the best as well. For the 12th generation of our best-selling, and the world’s best-selling, car of all time, we’ve pulled out all the stops.
In order to cater to our constantly growing leagues of buyers looking for what is truly the epitome of the automobile, we’ve devised three model lines. Each of them holds a distinct personality however they all share one key ingredient: They are all Toyota Corollas.
The refined “L” series is designed for those who require the latest designs and technologies in a compact car. The 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine generates 139-horsepower and will consume no more than 7L/100km in mixed driving. Mated to a 6-speed manual or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), driving pleasure is assured.
The sporty “S” series ups the performance and driving fun ante with a 169-horsepower 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine. This extra power does not come with a fuel consumption penalty as the numbers are scarcely higher than with the 1.8-litre. Transmission choices are a 6-speed manual or a sophisticated Direct-Shift CVT which simulates 10-gears.
The driving experience is on another level, however. The Corolla “S” cars feature a Sport drive mode, unique front and rear fascias, dual exhaust tips and a rear lip spoiler. Also available are unique 18-inch wheels and a power moonroof.
On board, all Corollas feature everything from a 7- or 8-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay, air conditioning, heated leather-covered seats and steering wheel, a 7-inc TFT Multi-Information Display with digital speedometer and so much more.
Finally, we’ve just introduced the first ever Corolla Hybrid. This compact car redefines efficiency thanks to its 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine and Hybrid Synergy Drive system. The Corolla Hybrid includes an innovative EV mode which is in part responsible for the car’s incredible 4.4 litres/city and 4.5 litres/highway per 100km fuel efficiency rating.
On top of all of this, all 2020 Toyota Corolla cars include Toyota’s latest Toyota Safety Sense 2.0. This complete battery of safety features includes pre-collision detection, lane-departure alert and much more.
We are quite convinced that the Toyota Corolla will continue on as the best-selling car in history
