More Power in the 2021 Toyota RAV4
When looking at available engines in both the RAV4 and Tucson lineups, there is really no competition. The 2021 Toyota RAV4 offers the most powerful engine in the segment while also offering two hybrid options. You won’t find a hybrid in the 2021 Tucson lineup. The RAV4 begins with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that produces 203 horsepower which is over 42 more horsepower than the Tucson’s entry-level engine and over 20 more than its most powerful variant. The Tucson offers 161 horsepower standard and only 181 horsepower in its most powerful engine. The RAV4 Hybrid has 219 horsepower while the new plug-in hybrid has 302 horsepower.

The 2021 Hyundai Tucson averages 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres out of the gate while the 2021 Tucson’s most powerful engine averages around 10.0 litres per 100 kilometres despite having quite a bit less power than the RAV4.
