The Toyota Tundra has been entirely redesigned and reengineered for 2022 and it is now better, more robust and more distinctive than ever.
Styled to impress
The 2022 Toyota Tundra has an appearance that was created with the goal of making it more distinctive and more robust looking than ever, to convey an impression of strength and capability simply by looking at it. The front end features a large grille and prominent “T” shaped headlamps that that give the new Tundra a unique visual signature even at night. In the same way, the new taillamps, with their three vertical LED strips, make it instantly recognisable from behind. From the side. The Tundra adopts a squared off profile where every line is straight and purposeful. The interior also follows the same principles, with its square and rectangular lines and the large size of the controls.
More technology than ever before
The 2022 Toyota Tundra benefits from more technology than it ever has, notably due to the use of hybrid and turbocharged engines and a 10-speed transmission. These new engines allow the Tundra to tow up to 12,000 pounds while keeping the fuel consumption much lower than with the previous engines and transmissions. To improve the load capacity, the comfort and the handling, the suspension was entirely reworked and the Tundra now rests on new designs for the front double wishbone and the rear multilink setup. On the inside, the Tundra is the first vehicle to feature the latest infotainment system from Toyota. With a processing speed five times shorter than the previous generation, this infotainment system can react to natural voice commands quickly and precisely. In order to keep the Tundra up to date for many years to come, this new infotainment system supports over-the-air updates which will allow for new features to be added seamlessly as soon as they are released.
