Toyota vehicles are celebrated for their exceptional reliability and quality, but unexpected...
Not only does Toyota’s new multimedia system look spectacular with its all-new display that can stretch as far a 14-inches across, but it makes for a much more smooth and interactive occupant environment.
First of all, it’s faster than the old system, which is a great starting point. More importantly, however, is how all that processing power is put to use with various apps on offer; no longer is your in-car media simply for channelling your Bluetooth or streaming music. Here are just a few of the powerful tools Toyota’s latest multimedia system offers.
Destination Assist
This provides a 24/7 connection to a live agent that can help you locate where you want to go, and what to do once you get there, from restaurant recommendations to the nearest charge station if you are driving one of our plug-in hybrid vehicles or our new bZ4X EV Crossover.
Intelligent Assistant
A simple “Hey Toyota” command activates your Intelligent Assistant, who can proceed to fulfill any number of commands, from finding the nearest sushi restaurant to the nearest gas station or garage. The result will then appear on your navigation screen with the hours of operation and Google star rating. It gets updated regularly through over-the-air updates without any input required from the user.
Connected Services
From inside the car we move outside with the Remote Connect app. This handy piece of technology can show you where you last parked, allow you to pre-condition the climate control system, and even start the car from inside your home or office.
From there, we move on to Service Connect, which regularly provides you with vehicle health reports that it can also send directly to your dealer so we know what needs to be done.
Finally, we have Safety Connect, which provides one-button calling to roadside assistance as well as a stolen vehicle locator.
It all has to be seen to be believed, so come visit us; we’d be happy to give you a tour!
