A few things haven't changed however on the best-selling midsize SUV in Canada. The 2023 Toyota Highlander will continue to be offered as a hybrid with a an average fuel consumption rating of just 6.7 L per 100 km. It will continue to be one of the most practical three-row SUVs in its class with room for seven or eight passengers and between 453 L and 2,387 L of total cargo space.
Under the hood, however, the Highlander replaces the 3.5 L V-6 traditional gas-powered models by a brand-new 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with an impressive 265 hp and 310 pound-feet of torque.
