Record-breaking sales figures from October 2024 continue to reveal Canadian driving preferences....
The all-new 2023 Toyota Crown is a striking example of Toyota’s commitment to innovation. With its bold design and intuitive driving experience, this new premium sedan brings powerful accelerations with confident handling alongside supreme comfort, all wrapped up in one beautiful package. There will be two Crown models on the Canadian market, the first with the powerful HYBRID MAX powertrain which offers remarkable power paired with exceptional efficiency.
Two engines and multiple versions of the 2023 Toyota Crown
The 2023 Toyota Crown will offer three different grades: XLE, Limited and Platinum. The high-end of the range is reserved for those who want the best performing hybrid vehicles on sale today with an exclusive new engine from Toyota's performance division that puts out 340 net horsepower.
The new Toyota Crown won't just be powerful, it will also be very fuel-efficient. The HYBRID MAX powertrain, the most powerful of the two available hybrid engines, averages just 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres. The XLE and Limited trims that feature the Toyota Hybrid System II engine average just 6.2 litres per 100 kilometres. For such a spacious sedan, this is quite impressive.
The Toyota Crown is an excellent choice for those who do not want to compromise. With its variety of driving modes, you can tailor the car’s performance and behavior to suit any need or mood! Modes range from ECO to SPORT to EV for all-electric driving in certain situations. The Platinum model and its HYBRID MAX engine offers three other modes, COMFORT, CUSTOM, and SPORT+. The latter sharpens up the Crown to deliver a surprising level of performance, and to make sure that you get the most out of this special engine. CUSTOM mode, on the other hand, allows you to tune different parameters to your liking to get a customized driving feel.
Every 2023 Toyota Crown will feature an all-wheel drive system. The XLE and Limited models will have an E-Four AWD technology while the Platinum grade will have the E-Four Advanced system. The first technology uses the rear motor to drive the rear wheels in order to provide traction when needed in slippery conditions. The system can send up to 80% of the available power to the rear wheels only when needed to preserve fuel economy while ensuring stability. The second system is continuously sending power to all four wheels (70/30), but can also send up to 80% to the rear wheels as needed.
The Toyota Crown provides excellent comfort with 8-way power adjustable driver and front passenger seats that have been designed for maximum adjustability. Additionally, rear seat adjustments give rear seat passengers the ability to set the most comfortable position. Ultimately, the 2023 Toyota Crown is the most luxurious Toyota sedan ever built, and it will offer all of the safety, connectivity, and comfort technologies you could ever want.
